I'm doing this blog for a few reasons.
First for myself. I want to see how I progress through the process of yoga. I feel that one day I'll wake up and think back and realize all the changes yoga has had in my life, but without documentation, I may not realize truly how much it has changed me.
Second to be held accountable. I feel like I could easily just do a journal of my progression through yoga, but if I share it with others I will be held accountable for:
- Sticking to my yoga practice. When I am held accountable to finish what I start, I won't fizzle out when no one's looking. Also, when I'm feeling discouraged I can look back on all my progress and see how energized and happy yoga makes me feel.
- My writing. Another passion of mine is writing. I currently don't have an outlet for personal expression, so I'm using this as an outlet. But again, I know I could easily write in a journal. However, when I know someone will be reading this I'll actually pay attention to my writing style, punctuation, etc.
